An exciting new opportunity for an international humanitarian charity has become available. They are seeking an experienced international programmes manager that has field experience abroad. The role will be based in London with regular travel. Your directorate will have a focus on Sexual and Gender based violence. Initially a 2 year contract with the possibility to extend.
Key responsibilities for this Programmes Manager role:
Conduct programme vulnerabilities, capacity assessments, and evaluations
Support regional teams at all stages including programme design and implementation
Build the capacity of relevant staff/volunteers
Adapt existing tools and materials for both programme support and training
Provide expert advice to guide the strategic direction of work aligned to the focus area of Protracted Conflict
Act as focal point for steering committees
Contribute to partnership development in middle east, africa and the mediterranean
Take an active role in identifying research gaps/needs
Essential criteria for this Programmes Manager role:
Experience of working on programmes in relation to sexual and gender based violence internationally
Demonstrable practical knowledge of case work practices
Strong knowledge of SGBV/Protection and related Minimum Standards and International Commitments
Knowledge of human trafficking frameworks and experience in supporting survivors of trafficking is desirable
Substantial experience in designing, implementing and evaluating programmes
Experience in capacity building and partnership development
