About the role
A charity tackling poverty through community action has a unique and exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to lead and a mange a brand-new programme supporting people who have been out of work for more than 18 months into getting back into work. This is a fixed-term contract role that will run until 30th June 2022, and a potential bonus of 20% of the salary (pro-rata'd if part-time) for sucessfully delivering the required outcomes. This can be either a part time job share (17.5 hours a week) or a full-time position. Local residence in or near Nottingham is preferred for occasional office attendance, however fully remote arrangements will also be considered.

As the Project Manager, you will be an integral member of the programme and will manage the achievement of performance, quality, and compliance for this programme by managing and leading interdisciplinary teams of staff to work effectively and cohesively to deliver a high-quality service to beneficiaries. You will apply effective project management practice and ensure that contract quality and compliance are achieved. The nature of this role will also involve managing relationships with delivery partners, participants, referral agents, stakeholders, network groups and employers within the designated areas to ensure successful delivery of the programme

You will have the following skills and experience:
* Experience of successful employment programme coordination and implementation
* Experience of working in the third sector, with exposure to working on government funded projects
* Experience of effective budget planning and management
* Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills, both internally and externally
* Successful team management experience and a robust knowledge of effective caseload management techniques
* Ability to work effectively as a leader of a team within a complex, changing and challenging environment
* Good networking and interpersonal skills to develop and manage excellent relationships linked to business delivery and growth
* Knowledge of the labour market, particularly around disadvantaged individuals and harder to reach people is a bonus
