Job description

A leading international examination body are recruiting for a Senior Statistical Analyst on an initial 6month contract to support in analysing student results data for this challenging examination session in order to ensure fairness during the COVID pandemic.

As a someone who has a degree or higher in statistics or mathematics with experience of undertaking statistical analysis and an understanding of assessment principals you will be responsible for recommending and undertaking recognised statistical tests to answer key questions posed by the Head of Assessment Principles and Practice to identify any anomalies in the outcomes of results in the November session and beyond.

The role will also support the assessment division and wider organisation in carrying out reviews of assessment outcome, with a particular focus on providing staff with an education and assessment background with the tools (PowerBI dashboards) etc to undertake reviews of school outcomes.

While initially focused on the November 2020 non-exam/exam route comparison, it is intended to take the learning from this session into the business as usual approach to maintaining standards and this role will support the Head of Assessment Principles and Practices in establishing what the business rules should be.

Finally, the role will also be expected to undertake statistical work to support the wider objectives of the assessment division and organisation.
