Part-Time Training Jobs
Volunteers are vital to our charity, the provide over 100,000 hours of support a year to our work. As our charity’s volunteer programme has grown over the last few years, we need to increase our capacity to recruit and better support our volunteers.
This role is focus on improving the support with give to our volunteers who care for our dogs and pups in training. There we are not just looking for someone who is experienced working with volunteers and is great with people, but someone who has presentation or teaching skills. So they can talk to groups of volunteers to help them develop the skills and confidence to have a positive experience and impact when volunteering with our charity. Candidate who have a good knowledge of dogs would be a real advantage.
Recruitment of new volunteers is also a key part of this role and so we will require the post holder to manage activity to achieve this, including some occasional weekend and evening work at specific recruitment events.

This is an exciting chance to really make a substantial difference to the young people we support at Active8.
Ideally we are looking for a candidate with experience of counselling, mentoring, teaching or youth work delivery. Having led on projects, running workshops and 121 delivery.
However willingness to learn, passion for the cause and transferable skills count for a lot and training will be provided if you do not have direct experience but you are creative, good at organising, enjoy building relationships and have an eye for detail.
An average week might involve a residential or day activity with our group. It might be meeting members on a 121 to support them with their individual needs or planning the next exciting event for our mentors and mentees.
As you would expect when working for a small charity no two days are the same and we all ‘muck in’ doing things outside of any job description - which will make working at Active8 so varied and enjoyable.
The post holder will not be expected to provide personal care. The successful candidate may be required where appropriate to support young people with tasks such as eating their food, drinking, pushing people in wheelchairs and supporting them on activities.
Job description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated counsellor, mentor, teacher or youth worker who has excellent planning skills, is great at communicating with different groups of people and has the ability to support our members.
Preferably the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience of leading on successful counselling, mentoring or youth work projects, have experience of 121 and lone working, experience of managing relationships at varying levels, an understanding of disability awareness, have experience leading workshops and qualifications and working to budgets.
The post holder will be required to manage the day-to-day jobs of the project including planning and running workshops, organising members to get to events including transport and adaptations needed and supporting members with 121 support. The candidate will also be responsible for supporting the rest of the team and other projects we run including Acceler8, Illumin8 and our Advocacy work.

About you
You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic and committed to providing excellent customer service. You do not need specific retail experience. But we do ask that you are business minded and have worked in a fast paced, service environment where you put the customer’s needs first. You’ll also need to showcase a great attention to detail, solid IT skills and have a creative eye for displays. You will also demonstrate an appreciation of Scope’s values and ambition of achieving Everyday Equality for disabled people.

Our shops are the face of our retail brand, run by a dedicated, creative and passionate bunch of superstars. We focus on sustainable fashion and engaging with local communities. As our Health and Safety Compliance Specialist you will support Scope’s Health and Safety processes in maintaining the highest standard of health and safety across our Retail and Corporate estate.
The main responsibilities of the role will be to work with internal colleagues and the Health and Safety Manager, undertaking key duties to support Scope’s Health and Safety function and compliance. These duties will include site visits and assessments, reporting against health and safety key performance indicators, and investigation into accidents or near misses as appropriate.

We are looking for a Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact analyst to oversee responsibility for MEAL and reporting purposes that provides RSBC with the evidence of impact to support both internal and external reporting. You will be the lead for the services database providing training, information and support the team as needed.
The main tasks and duties as Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact Analyst include:
· Collating monthly and quarterly management reports, providing impact against department KPIs.
· Produce and present analytical reports gathered from the RSBC database, polls surveys and case studies.
· Respond to, track and monitor data related queries and requests
· Utilising qualitative and quantitative methods to maintain consistent high-quality information and data analysis
The ideal candidate will have:
· Demonstrable experience in MEAL work, ideally within the charity sector
· Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills
· High levels of motivation, organisation and initiative
· Strong written, presentation, report writing and communication skills
· Considerable experience of customer databases
