Could you become the personal champion of a young person facing barriers to achieving their goals? The South Coast Foundations team are looking for a new Youth Development Lead!  Working across our Get Started and Explore programmes, you’ll lead personal development sessions that take our Foundation programmes to new heights.  

The sessions will range from outdoor activities in green spaces to world of work experiences, creative projects, life skills and everything in between!  You won’t be sitting behind a screen every day; this is an active role which will involve frequent, funded travel between Southampton and Portsmouth to deliver these exciting programmes, as well as programme visits and quarterly short residential trips. You will provide pastoral support for young people, helping them to apply their newly acquired skills to their progression into education or employment. Keeping things on point means meticulously recording info and data about our programme participants, volunteers, and partners. It's all about making sure every step of their journey aligns perfectly with our funding contracts and has maximum impact for everyone involved.

Schools Coordinator

We are seeking an organised and passionate Schools Coordinator to work with the UK’s leading children’s charity, working to prevent abuse, support young people and protect every child from harm.

Position: Schools Coordinator

Location: Home based, ideally in the central East Midlands areas of Leicestershire/Warwickshire, travel required.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a national children’s charity delivering impactful programmes and services through schools and education settings. The Schools Service plays a key role in helping children understand abuse, recognise unsafe situations and know where to turn for support.

Working within a regional team, you will coordinate and deliver the schools offer across a designated area, building strong relationships with schools, volunteers and local partners to maximise reach and impact.

The role is home based, with regular travel across the East Midlands. Access to your own car and home broadband is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

About the Role

As a Education & Training Officer you will be working with a small team within New Era, our support service for domestic abuse. You will be responsible for the education, awareness and training for partners, professionals and the local community. You will be delivering content relating to domestic abuse, with the sensitivity and professionalism as you would expect.

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-creation and continuous review of training content to ensure information is current
• Deliver of online and in person training, in isolation or with other team members
• Undertake administration accordingly - including managing delegates, registers and evaluation

About You:

Ideally, you will be aware of the impact of domestic abuse on families, workplaces and communities, and are resilient to deal with any disclosures and safeguarding matters arising. You will have some experience of developing and delivering multi- agency training and creating engaging presentations. You will be able to create high quality information in an easy to follow format.

You will need:

• Experience of presenting to, training, and developing people.
• Experience of partnership working, engaging with organisations and building relationships.
• Experience of gathering, managing and presenting data in reports and presentations.
• Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide range of people.

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. Uniting Staffordshire Against Hate provides information, advice, guidance and practical and emotional support to victims of hate crime and hate incidents to help them cope and recover from their experience and exercise their rights under the Victims Code. We also work to raise awareness and encourage reporting of hate crime across Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire. 

The role of a Training and Community Engagement Officer is an exciting and diverse one. You will be responsible for engaging with communities, including those most at risk of or directly impacted by hate crime, to improve awareness and understanding of hate crime, how to report it and how to access our specialist support service. You will do this in a variety of ways including by delivering awareness raising sessions and activities and attending events. You will also provide initial information, advice and guidance to victims of hate in the community and facilitate referrals into our specialist support service. You will be responsible for the development of meaningful and trusted relationships between communities and the service, so that the people who need our support know how to and are confident to access it. You will also be responsible for delivering our awareness raising training to professionals and communities. 

Flexibility is a key characteristic of all our posts, and the post-holder may be asked to carry out other tasks consistent with the grade from time to time. 

This role is based at our offices in Hanley but most of your time will be spent working in communities across Staffordshire and regular travel is a key element of this role.
