TLG Volunteer Programmes are available for churches who have a heart for the struggling children and families in their communities. For Early Intervention, we train, equip and support volunteers to coach children for an hour a week in school. For Make Lunch, we train and support volunteers to provide nutritious meals and activities during the school holidays.
The TLG Regional Leader role offers a unique opportunity to manage a cluster of Early Intervention Centres and Make Lunch clubs within the Greater London area of England. The ideal candidate will be a very organised, strong relationship builder with a vibrant Christian faith.
This key role involves training, leading and supporting new and established TLG Early Intervention and Make Lunch Programmes, working mainly with the Volunteer Coordinators who are leading their team of volunteers. The Regional Leader will be required to support progress against set key performance indicators to ensure the best possible support is given for thriving programmes.
The communities we serve are many and varied and we are committed to ensuring that our employees are able to understand and meet the needs of these communities. In London, we are particularly wishing to reach out to black majority and multi ethnic background churches so the person we are looking for will have deep understanding and possibly a lived experience of the issues that these communities face.
TLG is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and their families and expects all staff including volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
TLG particularly encourage applications from black and ethnic minority candidates as these groups are underrepresented within this type of role, and to enable us to better reflect and meet the needs of the communities we serve.
The deadline for applications is 5.00pm on Monday 23rd November 2020.
