Contract, 12 month Fixed Term (Term time only), Part-time
Job description

Empowering young people aged 11-19 to build confidence and make positive choices in their health, relationships and education.

Love4Life is the primary programme delivered by TwentyTwenty and is run by a dedicated team of youth workers committed to making a difference in the lives of young people.  Based in Loughborough and working across Leicestershire and Derbyshire, Love4Life specialises in supporting vulnerable girls to develop their self-esteem and form positive and empowering relationships by delivering Love4Life groups, one-to-ones and workshops in secondary schools and in the community.

Love4Life delivers targeted relationship and sex education to support young people who are facing difficulties in these areas.  We provide honest and age-appropriate resources to help them understand their sexual health, how to stay safe and the potential risk of sexual exploitation.  All of our work embeds positive self-esteem, body image and the handling of emotions in order to help a young person become more resilient.

We believe that once young people feel good about themselves they are more likely to make healthy and positive choices for their lives.

Love4Life Sessional Worker

Our sessional workers support young people who attend our groups, guiding them through these topics in creative and engaging ways.  You will be responsible for supporting the Love4Life area Youth Worker in the planning, resourcing and delivery of group sessions.  These may take place in the community or in schools, and could sometimes include our paid Relationship & Sex Education workshops.

You will need to be passionate and confident in working with disadvantaged and vulnerable teenage girls (11-19 year olds) and know how to deliver inspiring and engaging activities.

You will be organised and efficient with time, resources and administration, and uphold our high levels of conduct when engaging with young people, including embracing the diversity of our groups.

Some previous experience working with young people – whether paid or voluntary – will be required for this role.  We encourage interested candidates who do not have this experience to consider volunteering with us first.

Working with Us

Sessional workers are guaranteed 8hrs work per week (term-time only) and you may also be offered additional hours at busy times.

Tuesday  15:00-17:00

Wednesday 15:00-17:00
