UK Youth is looking for a highly motivated individual looking to progress their career in events and fundraising to join our Partnerships and Fundraising team as the Events Coordinator, managing our portfolio of fundraising challenge events.

Founded in 1911, UK Youth provides young people aged 9-25 with high quality services, delivered through a network of locally accessible youth organisations across the UK. Together we offer support, advice and training to over 4 million young people across the UK to equip them with vital life skills and help them engage in education, volunteering and employment. Our mission is to provide access to appropriate, high quality services for young people in every community so that all young people are empowered to build bright futures, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Reporting directly to the Events Manager the Events Coordinator will be an integral part of the team, leading on sustaining and growing our portfolio of Challenge Events which includes the iconic London Marathon, London to Paris Bike Ride and Royal Parks Half Marathon. The Events Coordinator will also support the delivery of other events in UK Youth’s portfolio including our Gala Dinner and Art for Youth.

You will be responsible for recruiting our challenge events participants and supporting them to raise as much money as possible in sponsorship. You will need a positive, can do attitude and a proactive approach to problem solving. You will need to be educated to degree level or have a relevant qualification, and have experience in events organising, office administration and ideally fundraising. The successful applicant must be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing to work flexibly including some evenings and weekends.

Salary: £20,000-£26,000 dependent upon experience
Location: London
