UK Youth provides young people aged 8-25 with high quality services, delivered through a network of 3,536 local youth organisations across the UK. Together we offer support, advice and training to over 1.5 million young people to equip them with skills for the future and help them engage in education, volunteering and employment.
About the role
UK Youth are recruiting a positive, proactive and highly efficient, Programmes Coordinator to join our National Programmes Team. As the Programmes Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling project related activity to facilitate the delivery of a portfolio of large-scale programmes that support young people to develop the skills, knowledge and experience they need to succeed in life.
We are looking for a Programmes Coordinator with experience of coordinating effective projects and a particular passion for working with young people. You will be a key member of the National Programmes Team working across a portfolio of our inspiring projects that give young people the skills they need to grow into confident and capable adults who lead fulfilling lives.
Our programmes tackle widespread issues and range from music and sport engagement, coding, social action, road safety, financial education and employability. Our partners and funders include Microsoft, UPS, CCEP, The National Lottery Community Fund and the Home Office.
You will be creative, proactive and have initiative and ideas. You will be organised, driven, reliable and have a positive approach to your work. You will be able to work at a high level both within UK Youth and with our charity and corporate partners, have a flexible approach to work and a willingness to work irregular hours, and be prepared to travel away from home on occasion to meet operational needs. Above all, you will have an interest in changing young people’s lives for the better.

We offer a salary of between £22,000- £26,000. Additional benefits include 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a pension scheme (currently UK Youth match employee contributions up to 5%), a life insurance scheme which would pay out up to 4 times your salary and additional staff benefits including an Employee Assistance Programme to support employees both professionally and personally.
