Job description

Join us to create a world safe for every child

Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

We are currently seeking to appoint a Treasurer, to join our passionate, dynamic and collaborative Board of Trustees at Unicef UK. You will be a committed individual who will bring their financial expertise and skills to help us deliver our ambitious strategy and our vision to do whatever it takes until every child is safe and able to fulfil their potential. As Treasurer you will maintain an overview of Unicef UK’s financial affairs and seek to oversee the organisation's financial viability.

You will be an individual of exceptional calibre with a clear commitment to children and their rights. You will bring vision, excellent communication skills and an understanding of governance in order to help guide and enhance the strategic development of Unicef UK. You will be able to demonstrate a track record of strategic finance, a CCAB Accounting qualification and an understanding of the Standard of Recommended Accounting Practice (SORP) for charities.

If you are motivated to help to us achieve even more impact for children, you can apply or download further information on the required qualifications, skills and experience for the role at the website quoting reference 4563. The closing date for applications is Sunday, 15th March 2020.

We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates, candidates with disabilities, and from men, because we would like to increase the representation of these groups at this level. We want to do this because we know greater diversity will lead to greater results for children.
