Job description

Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

Within the Strategy department, the Strategic Planning team at Unicef UK accelerates strategy achievement through supporting business units and advancing business-ready opportunities, driving us towards delivering greater impact for children.

We are looking for an ambitious and highly collaborative Strategic Planner to be a critical friend to the organisation and challenge our thinking. This role will be pivotal in driving organisational success by shaping us to remain relevant to our supporters – with initial focus on our mass audience – and by finding pathways to income growth. This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference for children around the world.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable strategic planning experience in an agency, in-house team or through consultative work. Your excellent big picture strategic thinking with a proven ability to lead others will have influenced organisational change. Alongside this, you will have outstanding leadership, communication and facilitation skills to develop strategies and plans that drive us toward success and relevant experience working with mass audience/marketing strategies.
