Job description

Communication Specialist – Tomorrow’s Cities

The School of GeoSciences is inviting applications from communication specialists for the UKRI Global Challenges Research Fund Hub –“Tomorrow’s Cities”, a five year interdisciplinary global research programme where our mission is “to reduce disaster risk for the poor in tomorrow’s cities”. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an ambitious research programme and global science partnership.

Playing a key role within the Hub, the post holder will bring extensive experience on implementing research into use approaches. With flair and excellent and exceptional communication skills and a friendly team approach we are looking for an individual with the capability to work as a key member of our busy co-located team. You will have relevant experience gained from working within UK Research Councils or development funders.

The post is based in Edinburgh, and the post holder will be required to travel within the UK and internationally including to developing countries.

This post is full-time fixed term until 28th February 2024 and is available immediately.

Salary: £33,797 - £40,322 per annum.
