As Development Officer in the University’s Alumni and Development Office you will manage a portfolio of alumni, trusts, foundations and friends of the University capable of making gifts of between £25,000 and £1,000,000. Working collaboratively with colleagues in the Alumni & Development Team, and the wider University, you will identify, qualify, engage and solicit prospective donors using your skills in relationship development to determine the best approach for each of them.
You will raise funds to support a wide range of projects from research into how microbubbles can help cure cancer to scholarships for students from less advantaged backgrounds.
You will have the opportunity to raise major philanthropic gifts that have the potential to transform lives both at the University and beyond. These gifts will be aligned with the University’s new Universal Values, Global Change 2020 – 2030 strategy.
