About the role
UnLtd are the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs. We fund and support passionate, talented, resourceful people who are tackling some of the key issues facing society. We support them with a mix of personal and business support as well as to access to capital.
Our investment team manages two social investment funds aimed at early stage social ventures. We offer these ventures both debt and equity of up to £150k. We are looking for a Social Investment Manager to join our team for 6 months to work on these social investment funds.
You will report into the Head of Investment and you will need to be a highly analytic, strategic, financially and commercially savvy, a good project manager. You will have experience of generating and assessing deals, managing a loan portfolio and of managing bad debt (or equivalent activities, processes and relationships). It is essential that this person possesses the emotional intelligence and empathy to know the right approach to take when supporting social entrepreneurs through financial difficulty and to get the best out of colleagues.
