Press/PR role details

Unreal is a new mental health charity, established in 2019. We are the only charity in the UK that exists for Depersonalisation Derealisaton Disorder (DPRD) - one of the most common yet under-recognised psychiatric conditions in the world.

Our mission is to reach out to people with lived experience of DPRD and their carers and families. We seek to raise awareness of DPRD, to provide support and to promote involvement through providing up to date information, signposting, networking, the sharing of experiences and by celebrating success.

It is an exciting time for Unreal as we prepare for our launch in early 2020. We are already delighted to have recruited two fantastic ambassadors; Professor Anthony David; director of the UCL Institute of Mental Health; and musician and Youtuber dodie.

At such a pivotal time for the charity, and to achieve our objectives, we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual with a Press and PR background to join our Board.

You will play an important role in helping us to form relationships with key journalists and influencers, raising awareness and helping us to communicate the work we do.
