Summary job description
We are currently recruiting a Project Manager - Advocacy to support the delivery of our new advocacy projects in West Africa. The projects of about $2 million over 3 years will be focused on supporting regional civil society organisations to advocate for the rights of small-scale fishers against industrial destructive fishing and promoting transparent and sustainable fisheries governance.
Reporting to the West Africa (WA) Regional Director with a dotted line to the Head of Programme Management, the Project Manager will be supported by the wider Blue Ventures team, which will provide technical and strategic support and guidance. This is a full time role based in Blue Ventures’ Senegalese office, with regular travel in the West Africa region to work closely with partners, field teams, and communities (up to 20% travels).
The successful candidate will be a motivated, proactive, and highly organised individual, with an excellent knowledge of project implementation and ideally, strong knowledge of partnerships and advocacy. You will demonstrate a proven track record of project implementation, as well as good spoken and written communication. Ideally, you will have experience of community-based conservation and development initiatives in the region.
We are looking for an individual who is open to new ideas and embraces innovation, who can demonstrate experience of building effective working partnerships for conservation and/or development. Qualifications
Required:

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The postholder will be responsible for publicising Gresham lectures and speakers to the media to amplify our visibility, enhance our reputation, and attract new audiences to Gresham.
The post-holder will need to be able to translate complex, technical information into clear and engaging press releases and briefings. They will need to be capable of managing proactive, planned press work but also have the ability to react to events and enquiries as well. They should demonstrate a strong track record of working and placing articles with a variety of national / international / print / digital media outlets.
With help from junior staff, they will also proactively inform additional groups of upcoming lectures – for example, faculty heads / administrators of university programs aligned with the respective lecture topic.
They will build relationships with other organisations in our sector with a view to cross-promotion when appropriate.
Finally, they will serve as the primary liaison for external press agencies enlisted to undertake independent or standalone projects.

Responsibilities
1. Write press releases about key lectures, speakers and series.
2. Disseminate these notices to media contacts (journalists, reporters, bloggers, media outlets) via media relations software, and personal correspondence when appropriate.
3. Build and maintain targeted lists of media contacts within media relations software to increase the efficacy of this work.
4. Act as the liaison between media contacts and Gresham speakers, facilitating collaboration such as the co-authoring of editorials or press interviews.

Job Purpose

The Role Purpose
The role of the Deputy Service Manager will be to work closely alongside the Service Manager and assist with the operational delivery of a portfolio of services. The role will also involve triaging and assessing all clients accessing the service, signposting and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing. The role will also include line management and supervision of Team Managers and supervision of Support Workers within the service. The Role
As our Deputy Shop Manager, you will be setting up our brand-new shop in Thirsk, supporting the Shop Manager in implementing processes and ways of working.

As a Regional Volunteer Officer living in North or Mid Wales you will help meet the Community Assistance Project objectives by recruiting, inducting, training and supporting suitable volunteers within the region to deliver support at a community level, working closely and in collaboration with local partners.
About you:

If successful you will:
- Implement the volunteer recruitment plan for the region
- Process all volunteer applications in a timely and professional way, taking the prospective volunteers through the Community Assistance Project recruitment process
- Ensure all prospective volunteers are inducted with Age Cymru and Community Assistance Project partners across the region
- Ensure the delivery of all the relevant training required
- Provide a mentoring / buddying system for the new volunteers
- Ensure all volunteers have appropriate Disclosure and Barring Service checks prior to starting the role.
- Provide ongoing support to volunteers
- When referrals are received, match the service user with the most appropriate volunteer while ensuring a high quality, timely and responsive service is provided
- Identify and attend relevant networks, publicise the Community Assistance Project, establish community links with all appropriate stakeholders and promote the service through a range of methods
- Promote and cascade information, including real-life examples of positive intervention through all available methods
- Maintain accurate and up to date records in the region utilising our case management system and other databases, to provide for the effective monitoring and evaluation of the project
- Support programme evaluation through surveys and questionnaires
- Make onward referrals internally or externally to provide a holistic support package for service users

This role covers a specified geographical location in the Southwest of England - Cornwall and Devon. The hours are ad hoc, as and when required in line with our visit schedule. - Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite

- Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- To provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person

Context of role:
The Director of Operations is a Senior Leadership role supporting the CEO in the strategic leadership and management of 2wish. We are in an exciting transition period where the organisation is expanding and this is a new role in our staff team that has been created to support our ambitious CEO to deliver our new strategic plan whilst ensuring we maintain operational excellence and high performance.

The successful candidate will play a central role within our dynamic team with a focus on developing and overseeing the smooth running of our internal systems and processes, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, developing and managing our team, monitoring performance and helping to develop our services and support families and individuals.
The successful post-holder will join a supportive Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the CEO, working collaboratively with the Director of Transformation and closely with the Heads of Support, Finance, Fundraising, and Marketing and Communications, to effectively deliver services in your remit, namely; Organisational Development, Compliance, Governance, IT, Systems and Facilities.
Hours:
Normal office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu
Annual leave:
28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.

Editorial Assistant role
This is a permanent, part-time role for an Editorial Assistant, working remotely (UK). The role will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to experience work on a busy environmental online news platform. You will work alongside our highly experienced editor in a fast-paced environment. In-house training will be provided on all aspects of the role. We are recruiting a number of assessors to offer initial assessments for clients on the Woman’s Trust assessment waiting list. Assessors will provide 8 initial assessments per week, these are 1:30 hours either face-to-face, via Teams or by telephone. All WT services are client-led and based on a person-centred/humanistic model of working and commitment to this way of working is essential for this post.
