Head of Talent, People and Culture
Looking for a volunteer opportunity that you can really get your teeth into?
Looking to be involved in a young people’s charity from the very start and have influence and impact in shaping the foundations of our charity for years to come?
We are looking for people to help us make Urban Youth a unique young people’s charity that really does make a difference to young lives and helps transform the lives of young people in inner London for the better, especially those from deprived backgrounds.
We are a start-up young people’s charity that are passionate about helping disadvantaged young Londoners in the inner London area to succeed in life. Our aim is to accompany young people through adolescence, while helping them to reach their full potential, grow up healthy, be part of society and be prepared for their future. We want young people to achieve their dreams but if they don't, we want them to be able to reflect positively on what's happened and learn from it.
We will do this by providing youth activities, training workshops and programmes, where young people will have access to positive role models to help them develop their self-confidence and belief in themselves and help divert young people whose only choice is to enter into the wrong types of crowds, especially when they take a wrong turn or feel they have nowhere else to turn. We will guide and support young people and show them that there is a different path.
We're recruiting a Volunteer to join us as our Head of Talent, People and Culture, for approx. 10 hours per week with lots of flexibility, however the majority of our work will be taking place during evenings and daytime on weekends. We’re looking for someone who has amazing leadership skills and fantastic qualities to really drive the talent, people and culture aspects at Urban Youth, helping ensure our start-up young people’s charity is a great place for our people as well as young Londoners living in the inner city.
You will not only be part of this unique and transformative charity, but you will be leading from the front, making sure we have everything in place to have a talented, motivated and team spirited team of people, while living and breathing our charity’s culture so that it comes out of you and is catching, while making sure our team are professionally trained, challenged and reflect on their practice.
Help us to help young Londoners transform their lives for the better.
