We are UrbanLeaf – the UK’s longest running charity fundraising company. We specialise in face to face street fundraising on behalf of charities and humanitarian organisations such as ActionAid, Plan International and Barnardo’s and Independent Age. We fundraise out and about on the high street and have teams all over the UK- including here in London as well as Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow.
We are looking for a new Recruitment Officer to work in our London office, helping to make all the recruitment phone calls to potential new fundraisers. Screening candidates and getting successful ones booked in for interviews with our Regional Managers.
We use various job boards such as Gumtree, Reed, Monster, Total Jobsm Indeed and Facebook and aim to call all applicants within a day of them applying – customer service is paramount!
We are looking for bright, engaging, exceptional communicators for the street fundraising roles – therefore YOU have to those qualities yourself in-order to help us find the best fundraisers for our teams!
We focus totally on Quality – and that’s with both the candidates we put forward for interviews and the fundraisers themselves and the donations they secure for our charity partners.
Ideally the successful recruitment officer will have fundraising experience either face to face or over the phone, be exceptional in terms of communication, be confident over the phone and have some basic experience with admin and using excel, and an eye doe detail.
We log all our applications using an excel spread-sheet and work out of a shared inbox whereby we receive all the applications.
The job is primarily going to be working with Gemma our Recruitment Manager and her team, in our small London office. The hours may vary as we have some flexibility with some potential 10-6 days as well as the usual 9-5.
