£30,000 - £33,000 per year
Part-time, Temporary
Job description

This is an exciting time to join Ushaw. Since opening as a heritage visitor attraction in 2015 we have seen huge growth with over 52,000 visitors in 2019. We are a truly unique estate combining culture and heritage with creative commerce, conferencing and community engagement. Steeped in over 450 years of history, Ushaw is equally a dynamic and innovative organisation. We are now moving into a new phase which includes a major capital project to transform the visitor experience.

We have an opportunity for a Fundraising Manager to join our small team. We have already developed strong relationships with many key stakeholders such as Arts Council England, NLHF, Durham County Council and County Durham Community Foundation. We are now seeking an experienced and successful fundraiser to develop, manage and co-ordinate a portfolio of statutory, trusts and foundations, individual and corporate supporters, cultivating strong and long-lasting partnerships.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an experience of developing, writing and submitting large grant applications for major projects. You will also be able to demonstrate a proven track record of securing grants and achieving financial targets alongside proactively searching out new funding streams through research and networking.

Closing date for applications 7 February 2020. Interviews will be held week beginning 24 February 2020.
