This post will work as part of the Membership Services and Communications team. The team supports all areas of VAC’s service delivery and works closely with the voluntary and community sector (VCS) to ensure:
- the work of VAC remains visible and accessible to a wide range of partners and key stakeholders.
- the VCS have access to high quality information which supports engagement with members and capacity builds the local VCS, enabling them to carry out their own objectives effectively.
- high quality content for web platforms, social media and other forms of communication across all of our work providing a range of information to support and develop opportunities for VAC, the VCS and wider system/borough wide partners.
The purpose of this post is to support and deliver a range of functions within the team, including the implementation of VAC’s Communications and VCS/Membership engagement plans.
Reporting to the Membership Services and Communications Manager, you will also work as part of an integrated team within VAC, supporting project communications functions where necessary. You will be expected to work in a responsive and enabling way to deal with matters relating to communications, maintenance and growth of VAC’s membership and work proactively with a range of diverse groups and partners to promote the visibility and role of the Voluntary and Community Sector.
