Location: Derbyshire (Mainly focussed in High Peak & surrounding areas)
Hours: 37.5 Mon – Sun, working 5 days/wk. Occasional evening and weekend work required.
Base: Field-Based with Admin base in Matlock
Responsible to: Head of Retail Sales and Marketing
Salary: £24,500 - £27,500

Valley CiDS is a children and young people’s charity based over Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. As a Retail Area Manager you will be able to make a real difference to the local community through the creativity, innovation and commercial awareness that you will implement across your portfolio of shops.
Working as part of a dedicated retail team, you will be an ambitious senior manager able to lead and develop our existing staff and volunteers across the High Peak and surrounding areas to help maximise area sales and profit in up to 20 of our shops.
Reporting to our Head of Retail Sales & Marketing, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proven success in achieving and exceeding sales and profit targets within retail management as well as strong leadership and development skills to enable you to motivate, advise and encourage a diverse team of staff and volunteers.
You will be able to identify and develop new and improved strategies to ensure the very highest of standards in all of our shops in line with company polices. The Retail Area Manager will also be an advocate for our charity, promoting and enhancing the work we do in every aspect of day to day duties.
The desired candidate will have outstanding people management skills, the ability to identify and source stock, profiled to the different areas that our shops are situated in, to help improve our retail offering. Strong business acumen is essential along with the ability to analyse financial data, managing income and expenditure targets.
