The Trust manages two historic buildings, The Round Chapel, and St.Augustine's Tower. This is an opportunity to demonstrate key skills developing our business, working with a small team and our Trustees.
The Round Chapel continues to develop as a centre for the performing arts and the Tower as an important educational resource.
In recent years, we have increased our letting income from the Round Chapel very substantially. The new Venue Manager’s primary task is to build on this growth by developing our vision to deliver
‘A great space for everyone where big ideas happen’.
Working in partnership with other organizations and individuals to develop a range of arts, community, and other uses, that will also increase the visibility of the venue, and raise our letting income.
We are working up a new brand image and a strategy for capital improvements, and you will a key contributor to this work, bringing experience of running a venue and developing an events strategy.
The Trust anticipates that the Venue Manager will work for the Trust for a minimum of between 20 and 25 hours a week within normal office hours, spread over four or five days. The precise hours each day are negotiable.The role will include acting as Administrator to the Trust.
