We are looking for an experienced, dynamic individual to join our Wales team as Living Well Manager. The role will develop and lead our unique Welsh Government funded project CWTCH Cymru (Communities with Touchpoints Can Help) to strengthen our community focus and ensure no one faces arthritis alone.
This exciting position is for someone who has excellent management, interpersonal and communication skills and can lead and motivate people.
You will be joining a growing team who are passionate about providing high quality services to people with arthritis across Wales. Versus Arthritis wants to involve people at scale, increase the recognition of arthritis and maximise our impact for people with arthritis. About the role
You will play a pivotal role in managing the CWTCH Cymru project which will deliver innovative local support models, empowering people with arthritis to be agents of their own health and wellbeing.
Alongside Wales and cross UK colleagues you will be working closely with healthcare professionals, key external partners and volunteers to realise our ambition - Wherever you are in the UK there is a local touchpoint with us.
As strategic and operational lead you will be responsible for setting the direction, coordinating our approach and ensuring all delivery requirements are met. As well as managing an established team you will recruit, train and support new project staff.
Due to the nature of our services, some evening and weekend working may be required. The role will also require the ability to travel widely across Wales and occasionally across the UK.
With the ability to think and plan strategically, our ideal candidate will have experience of managing services that cover multiple workstreams, be able to inspire and motivate others, makes things happen and will be passionate about making a difference for people with arthritis.
The role requires strong multi-project management, organisational and budget monitoring skills, along with excellent communication skills. Knowledge and application of good practice in relation to volunteer management; recruitment, training and support is essential.
As well as knowledge of working across the health and social care landscape in Wales, you’ll have experience in engaging with diverse communities and stakeholders, scoping new areas of development and have a high attention to detail.
