Mass Market Fundraising

The MMF team’s vision is to establish a new, sustainable revenue model for Versus Arthritis by inspiring and empowering hundreds of thousands of people to take meaningful actions to defy arthritis each year. The team will transform the mass engagement programme into one which is ambitious, driven by audiences’ motivations, and digitally led. With six new appointments in the team, the Head of Mass Market Fundraising is developing a team that will be collaborative, visible internally across departments, and comprised of dedicated fundraisers.

About the role 

We are recruiting a Mass Fundraising Officer (Acquisition) who will be responsible for managing and delivering distinct elements of the acquisition and conversion activity. The activity will largely be digitally-led and will include paid social and search campaigns, email campaigns, and web marketing.

You will work with colleagues to develop creative concepts and tactics that meet the core audience needs and motivations and will also work independently manage, deliver, and evaluate innovative digital engagement activity. Day to day, the Officer will plan and deliver engaging campaigns to increase the number of donors and fundraisers across all mass marketing fundraising products and ways of giving, including cash and regular gifts, in memory, challenge events, local and community fundraising, and legacies. You will also support the Mass Acquisition Manager with product evaluation and new product testing.

The best person for this job will have experience working in a charity or commercial setting in direct marketing, digital marketing or fundraising. You will be able to point to delivering successful engagement campaigns for different channels and will also enjoy working toward and achieving ambitious targets and objectives. The best person for this job will be innovative and creative, and will be comfortable developing engaging creative concepts with agencies and internal teams.
