Victim Support is looking for a number of Domestic Abuse Caseworkers (known internally as Domestic Abuse Independent Victim Advisors) based in one of our Lancashire offices, either Preston, Accrington, Blackpool or Lancaster. Please state your preferred location in your application.

The current Covid situation has led to a rise in reported cases of domestic abuse and we are looking for an experienced and committed individuals to join the team to provide holistic support to enable our clients to keep safe, understand their choices and options , including support through the criminal justice process. These roles will be working with and supporting victims of Medium and Standard risk domestic abuse.
You will need to be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the issues facing victims of domestic abuse and experience of supporting clients within a multi agency context. The role is demanding and you will need to have high levels of resilience and the ability to work in a fast paced environment providing person-centred support that meets the needs of our clients. In particular the ability to identify risk and the legal and practical remedies available to reduce risk for our clients.
Initially the role will be home based (due to the Covid situation) but once restrictions ease you will be based in one of our hubs . You will need to be a driver with access to a car. You will also need to have high levels if IT literacy and be accustomed to record keeping and case management.
