Victim Support is looking for a Caseworker internally known as Independent Victims Advocate to work remotely in North Yorkshire

Our caseworkers play a vital role in delivering structured support services to victims of crime to assist them cope and recover. The key responsibilities of an IVA is to provide a quality support service (emotional, practical, advocacy, information advice and guidance) and working collaboratively with other key stakeholders to address the impact on crime on service users and ensure their interventions are delivered to assist in cope and recovery.
The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering empowerment modelled caseworking to service users in either a statutory, voluntary or community setting. You will have an excellent understanding of the requirements of confidentiality and safe working practices, robust recording and excellent IT skills.
The successful candidate will be able to work confidently without direct supervision and be able to deal effectively with competing and conflicting demands in an organised manner, as well as having good problem solving skills. You will be responsible for providing a cope and recovery support service as part of a team, varying from brief interventions to long term support services over the telephone or face to face depending on client's needs.
