Job description

Victim Support is looking for a Digital Engagement Officer to maintain and develop Victim Support's social media channels and websites alongside our small digital team. The post is based in St Mellons, Cardiff.

Victim Support (VS) is an independent charity for people affected by crime in England and Wales. We work towards a world where there are fewer victims, but who have stronger rights, better support and a real influence in the criminal justice system.

This role sits within Communications and Governance, where you will be working in our small digital team to develop and enhance our digital services across the organisation.

The purpose of this role is to support the ongoing maintenance of our social media channels and to deliver engaging content for our online audiences. As well as producing high-quality social media content, you'll also be able to drive insights and improvements through data reporting and analysis.

You'll have experience planning and creating social content for online campaigns. We're looking for someone with good interpersonal skills who will be happy to share their knowledge with our local teams to help them to develop good practice with their social media presence.

Interviews will be scheduled for Wednesday 2 September 2020 via Skype.

Victim Support offers competitive rewards and benefits including pension and life assurance, 25 days annual leave (pro-rata) and voluntary benefits such as season ticket loans.

Applications should be explicit enough to provide good evidence against the shortlisting criteria, which are marked in the person specification as (ES). In order to apply, please create a profile in our website (jobs section), complete and submit an online application form, along with your CV.

Victim Support are committed to recruiting with care and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Background checks and Disclosed Barring Service checks may be required.

Victim Support is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for our staff. We believe having a diverse workforce at all levels allows us to represent the communities we serve and connect better with people affected by crime. We welcome applicants from all communities and as part of our commitment to the Race at Work Charter we would particularly welcome applicants from BAME communities.
