Job Description

Victim Support are looking for two full time Independent Victim Advocates one based in Nuneaton and the other based in Leamington Spa.

Victim Support (VS) is an independent charity for people affected by crime in England and Wales. We work towards a world where people affected by crime or traumatic events get the support they need and respect they deserve.

The prime function of the Independent Victim Advocate will be to provide support to victims of crime residing in Warwickshire to help them cope and recover from the effects of crime. You will be required to provide home visits/face-face visits/telephone support and be a single point of contact for victims working in a multi-agency support environment.

To be successful in this role you will be flexible and proactive, have knowledge and experience of delivering a service and working directly with clients or service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting. You will have experience of creating, monitoring and implementing support plans for service users as well as experience of voluntary and statutory agencies including relevant professional roles, particularly in the criminal justice, health and social care sectors.

The post holder will be required to undergo enhanced DBS check.

We have two vacancies one based in Leamington Spa and the other in Nuneaton both vacancies will be 37.5 hours worked over 5 days on a rota basis - 3 days 9am to 5pm, 1 day 10am to 6pm and 1 day 12noon until 8pm in addition to 1 Saturday in 4.
