Victim Support is looking for an Independent Victim Advocate to cover Herefordshire. The role will be based in our Worcester city centre office, or a Herefordshire homeworker will be considered - travel expenses will be paid.

The successful candidate will be required to co-ordinate and provide a tailored support package to the most complex, high risk and vulnerable victims of crime. As a case leadership role, the Independent Victims Advocate (IVA) will offer a single point of contact, providing immediate emotional support and undertaking a structured needs and risk assessment in order to develop a full end to end cope and recovery support plan.
Applicants will have a good understanding of confidentiality, safe working practices and maintenance of records in accordance with the Data Protection Act. In addition you must be able to demonstrate an active commitment to promoting equal opportunities and diversity. It is also essential you can demonstrate that you are able to work without direct supervision, that you can prioritise your work and deal with competing demands in an organised and methodical manner. Good IT skills are essential as is the ability to record, store and process data for reporting purposes.
