Job Description

Live-in Recovery Worker

We are looking for a committed Christian with a heart for addiction recovery work to join the staff team at Yeldall Manor, a Christian drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre for men, near Twyford. This is great introduction to recovery work in the Christian sector.

The role will involve one-to-one key-working sessions with men throughout their 24 weeks on Phases 1 and 2 of our programmes. You will support them in all practical aspects of their recovery including objectives and goals, leave and visit planning, discipline issues and health matters. You will need to have excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to implement firm but caring boundaries, and good administrative abilities.

This job, which is for a fixed-term of two years, is an excellent introduction to the recovery sector and includes the possibility of attendance at a one-year certificate course in counselling with CWR.

The post includes regular evening and weekend duties, and is conditional upon living in shared staff accommodation on-site.

Salary: £15,000 p/a plus accommodation.

  • As Yeldall Manor is a Christian organisation operating a Christian programme, it is an occupational requirement (in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010) that the successful candidates are committed and practising Christians.

  • If you are in recovery, a minimum of two years’ demonstrable clean time is required.

Closing date for applications: 5pm, Wednesday 31st October.
