Location:
This role is primarily based in our Brent office with occasional travel to our Croydon and Kings Cross offices. However, our hybrid working model allows staff members to do some homeworking.
The Role
The Youth Development Coordinator is responsible for the development and delivery of our youth development programme for young refugees and asylum seekers.
You will be focused on ensuring our programme activities achieve our outcomes, are in line with our strategy and identify areas for change and development under the direction of the Head of Services. An excellent communicator and skilled at working with partners, you will be key in the implementation and running of our weekly Youth Club and Advice and Support Hub working closely with the Youth Development Worker and having oversight of our weekly Young Women’s group and Skills Workshops.
Working with the Brent team, and wider Young Roots staff, you will play a key role in our youth participation and youth leadership work in Brent.
You will prioritise the participation of young people in all activities, ensuring excellent safeguarding by following our policy and protocols, and ensure that we collect excellent data for monitoring and evaluation and to aid our future planning. You will also assist with staff and volunteer recruitment and reporting to our funding partners.

Job Description
To be responsible for coordinating, planning, and delivering our youthwork programme in Brent, ensuring you are focused on achieving our outcomes and impact for young refugees and asylum seekers – and working within our current strategy, youth development strategy and implementation plan. Our current youth work activities are:
· 1:1 youthwork
· Young Women’s’ Group
· Support and Advice Hub (including cricket and football)
· Youth Club
· Trips and Residentials
· English classes
2. To manage the Brent Youth Development Team
· Line manage Youth Development Workers
· Supervise volunteers to enable them to support activities with young people
· Assist the Head of Services with the recruitment and induction of staff and volunteers, ensuring young people’s participation in the process.
· To ensure excellent monitoring and evaluation
· To have a supportive and wellbeing-focused approach to line management of staff - ensuring regular one-to-one supervision meetings and annual Performance and Development Reviews.
3. To play a key role in the delivery of our weekly Youth Club and Advice and Support Hub. This includes working closely with the Head of Services, Casework Manager and Hub partners and subsequent follow-up actions relating to supporting young people access their rights and entitlements.
4. To play a key role in developing and co-ordinating youth participation work, working closely with young people and the Head of Services:
· To ensure the views of young people are central to the shaping and delivery of all youth activities in Brent.
· to be responsible for ensuring young refugees and asylum seekers are meaningfully involved in participation opportunities – or other relevant projects.
5. To be responsible for ensuring there are adequate volunteers/staff present to safely run each session/trip and to find staff cover in the case of illness or absence.
6. To identify, propose and with agreement from the Head of Services, develop and run new projects in line with our new strategy and implementation plan, meeting unmet need and with advice from young refugees and asylum seekers in Brent and surrounding areas.
7. To ensure targeted outreach to young asylum seekers and refugees, publicising projects creatively and appropriately, including at relevant schools and colleges in the local area.
8. To ensure excellent safeguarding practice, and always follow our Safeguarding Policy, reporting any Safeguarding incidents to the Designated Safeguarding Lead ad ensuring they are informed, and appropriate, timely action is taken.
9. To work with the Impact and Communications Manager to provide content (photos, videos, quotes, case studies) which is safe for and respectful of the young people we support, with the right permissions that can be used as part of communications to our supporters, on social media and as evidence of our work to funders.
10. Ensure activities in Brent are monitored and evaluated in line with the agreed protocols.
11. To build collaborative relationships with partners and referral organisations attending and organising partnership meetings as required.
12. Manage new referrals to the service alongside our Casework manager
General Responsibilities

We are looking for a Register Enrichment Coordinator to join our Register Enrichment team.

In the Register Enrichment team, our role is vital as we improve the quality of the information we hold about our donors on the register, to provide transplant centres with comprehensive and detailed options when searching for donors for their patients, allowing them to make better, faster choices, which ideally will lead to better outcomes for our patients.
You will do this by contacting existing donors on our register and asking them to provide us with a blood or swab sample for us to do further testing. You will communicate clearly with the donors by phone, text message and email, ensuring they understand the purpose of our testing and answering any queries they may have.
You will also communicate with donors to determine availability if the originally selected donor is unavailable at the time that they had been found to be a potential match. We then offer these donors as an alternative to transplant centres if the original donor cannot go ahead.
You will also speak to people who want to be tested for their relatives who need a stem cell transplant and facilitate this for them in a timely manner.

About the Crisis Service
Hertfordshire Mind Network’s Nightlight Service (Café’s, Helpline, 24/7 Crisis House and Daylight provision) is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways. We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our helpline, crisis cafes and 24/7 Crisis Centre.
We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary.
Purpose of the Post
As a member of our diverse team, you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect. By honouring the individual experience of each service user, we are able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery.
Alongside other Crisis Cafe Coordinators, you will be a key member of the Crisis team, providing effective operational leadership delivering the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Café and Helpline Service.
You will be ensuring the delivery and development of quality crisis support services and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the provision. You will provide management support to Crisis Café and Helpline Mental Health Support Workers and volunteers and support the Crisis Café Team Leader in ensuring practice within the service is safe, effective and person centred.

The Volunteer Manager (VM) is responsible for overseeing high-quality sourcing of volunteers to join as 1MM Mentors across the regions, which includes partnership development, online site listing, and matching mentors/mentees, general oversight of mentoring relationships in different programmes, implementation of safeguarding measures, fundraising, meeting growth targets and leading all aspects of mentor management. The role will help to establish a pipeline across the regions, with 5000 new mentors for 2024. This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
1MM VM’s main tasks include:

Helping 1MM to scale by sourcing sufficient volunteer mentors who go on to become confirmed matches for high quality mentoring relationships.

Ensuring mentors coming online have completed the platform mentor training within 1 month, and that this conversion results in sufficient and timely readiness of mentors to meet the needs of programmes with one month’s lead time.

Providing ongoing support to 1MM’’s Volunteer Providers (eg employer partners), maintaining strong relationships.

Securing one corporate sponsor per quarter.

Becoming familiar with the 1MM Platform, using it comfortably for ongoing administration and providing support to mentors.

Providing a weekly update on various aspects of mentor recruitment, including expected supply, actual registration, and confirmed matching. Share lessons learned on volunteer conversion and matching with the wider team.

Terms and Conditions:
This is a full time role offered in London, for 6 months (continuing subject to funding). This is a hybrid role with two days working at home, two days in the London office, and one day where it is up to you.

Our centres provide an innovative education programme which includes practical learning support and motivational and confidence-building activities for children and young people aged 7-18. Responsible to Director of Services (subject to review)
Purpose of Post To support users of services through an education, training, and employability programme integrated with SCT’s wider services and enterprise offer, as well as partner opportunities in the wider community. Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) is an East London charity embedded in the local community, providing practical support and training to people affected by homelessness and addictions so they can rebuild their lives. We have a Recovery Hub in Shoreditch, where we run an abstinence-based residential recovery service (‘Acorn House’), and a Training and Development service, including tutor-led art, creative writing, digital skills, gardening, literacy, and woodwork. In addition, we run Housing First and Supported Housing services, both in East London. Role and Responsibilities:
We are dedicated to supporting those who access our Training and Development service to explore further Education, Training, and Employment (ETE) opportunities as part of SCT’s Progressions Programme, both within and outside of SCT. This includes those in early recovery who are resident in our abstinent-based recovery service (‘Acorn House’), as well as those in our move-on house and the wider community who may be more established in their recovery. SCT’s Progression Worker supports those accessing our services to explore ETE opportunities, offering tailored, individually specific support to help them reach their full potential. Identifying SCT residents and students ready to pursue ETE opportunities:

Collaborate with SCT tutors and managers, particularly the Therapeutic Programme Manager and Supported Housing Manager, to identify those who may benefit from the support on offer.

Cultivate strong relationships with SCT’s social enterprises and shops to establish clear pathways for volunteering and trainee opportunities for those who access our services.

Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualised Progression Plans, and evaluate progress according to each person’s needs, strengths and aspirations, involving key internal and external partners as appropriate.

Providing information, advice, and guidance regarding ETE opportunities:

Offer information, initial advice, and guidance on employment, voluntary work, and further education opportunities.

Promote SCT's work to external partners to maximise ETE opportunities for those who access our services.

Make referrals for placements, volunteering experiences, apprenticeship schemes, colleges, and other external programmes.

Support individual users of services with referrals and applications for ETE opportunities.

Maintain partnerships with relevant ETE providers to offer diverse opportunities to users of services.

Oversight of users of SCT services volunteering in SCT’s social enterprises and shops:

SCT Training & Development

Co-ordinating the enrolment process for Training and Development activities for SCT residents and non-residents

Ensuring plans are developed for those participating in Training and Development activities to progress according to their needs, strengths, aspirations, and available opportunities, including consideration for SCT’s Progressions Programme.

Demonstrated experience engaging vulnerable, long-term unemployed adults in relevant educational, employment, and training programmes.

At our North West London Home, we are recruiting a Head of Kennels who will share our compassion and commitment for animal welfare to provide front line leadership to our team of Kennel and Animal Care staff and volunteers. We care for up to fifteen dogs on site, in addition to dogs placed into foster homes. Our Head of Kennels is responsible for managing the day-to-day smooth running of our kennels and maintaining the wellbeing of all dogs in our care, so that their individual physical and psychological needs are catered for adequately, and in line with our standards and ethics.
This is a high profile and hugely important role for Mayhew as our Head of Kennels oversees each dog's journey through Mayhew from in-take to assessment and then to rehoming. Working with staff and volunteers across the Home, foster carers, adopters, other charities and rescues and members of the public, our Head of Kennels is instrumental in ensuring that our dogs have all they need - from feeding, exercising, cleaning, and socialising to finding their perfect forever home. Leading a small team, our Head of Kennels is responsible for managing all aspects of our dog in-takes, adoptions, fostering and Pet Refuge (read more here), managing our capacity to ensure we help as many dogs as we can and ensuring our dogs are rehomed to a home suited to their individual needs as soon as possible.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Therapies Service at St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney. You will work as part of committed and creative team, which offers innovative therapeutic interventions and support to people with specialist palliative and end life care needs. The Therapies team works in collaboration with other clinical professionals and volunteers across all areas of the service; inpatient, outpatient and community.
This role involves the provision of rehabilitation and non-pharmacological symptom management for patients with advanced illness to optimise their independence and make a significant difference to their quality of life.
Although the post is an AFC Band 6 post, there is scope to progress to an AFC B7 Senior Physiotherapist over a 12-month period subject to meeting role-specific developmental competencies.
We are looking for someone who:
- has highly developed clinical reasoning skills necessary to tailor and adapt therapeutic interventions across a complex patient caseload
- has experience of multi-disciplinary working in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- is skilled in the management of respiratory, neurological, musculoskeletal, and oncological conditions
- is confident leadership and communication skills
