To fulfil our five-year strategic development plan, we are seeking key skills in our new CEO which will be increasing our ability to reach out to as many people in need of The Maypole Project expertise in psychological and social support by creating new partnerships, new support networks and reaching into new geographical areas,
Reporting directly to the Chair of the Board of Trustees and with the support of Head of Developments, the CEO will lead the management of the organisation, drive its strategic development and, together with the Board, secure the future success of the organisation.
The post holder will promote The Maypole Project, its ambitions, values and objectives through every aspect of their work.

Head of People
Resources for Autism are looking for a warm, people-first individual with exceptional interpersonal skills who can drive improvements in the organisations recruitment efforts, whilst also prioritising the well-being and development of 250 staff and 60 volunteers.

Position: Head of People
Location: London/hybrid (with frequent travel to Birmingham)
Hours: Full time: 37.5hours
Salary: £45,000 depending on experience
Duration: Permanent

The Role
As the Head of People, you will be instrumental in fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will lead our efforts to nurture our already vibrant organisational culture and further build on it.
Main responsibilities include:
· Lead initiatives to reinforce and strengthen organisational culture
· Ensure that the culture and environment is inclusive
· Provide leadership to the People Team
· Develop and implement strategies to foster high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction
· Champion professional development opportunities and career growth pathways for staff members
· Drive and lead the recruitment process
· Serve as a trusted mediator and advisor in resolving interpersonal conflicts or workplace issues
· Spearhead initiatives to prioritise the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of our team
· Stay abreast of relevant employment laws and regulations
· Oversee the collection and analysis of data on key performance information
· Contribute towards driving the overall strategic direction
About You
You will have experience of working within People and HR teams at senior level and of managing teams of staff and volunteers within corporate and/or voluntary sector. A values driven individual and with a passion to make a difference to the lives of autistic people and those who love and care for them, you will have excellent communication skills and be adaptable to different populations including: colleagues, external professionals, service users, families, volunteers, donors.

We have been around since 1997, when we started as a small playgroup set up by parents dismayed at the lack of provision for their autistic children. Since then, Resources for Autism has grown into a major deliverer of services and support in London and the West Midlands with a turnover of around £2.6m per year. At Thrive, we use gardening to enable people with long term health conditions and disabilities to improve their health and wellbeing and our vision is that Social & Therapeutic Horticulture (STH) services are available wherever people live.
We’re looking for a supportive Regional Centre Manager who can enable our passionate and committed Birmingham team to deliver an excellent service for our client gardeners.
Proactive business development skills are needed to identify new partnerships and expand our program delivery to ensure the continued sustainability of the centre.

Our Regional Centre Manager in Birmingham will be based in our Birmingham Kings Heath office, Option for hybrid role with up to 2days Remote/Home working per week.
