The Baytree Centre (registered charity no 1175145) is a women and girls social inclusion project based in the heart of Brixton, working to support local women and girls from some of the most deprived wards in Lambeth.
Inspired by Catholic Social Teaching and in response to local needs we offer programmes that include skills development (employability, language); 1-to-1 coaching & mentoring; welfare support; creative & academic activities and that build confidence and self-esteem, promote aspirations, broaden horizons and opportunities that help to improve life chances for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Our Services are currently delivered by our Youth Service, Women Service and Volunteer Service. We have a staff body of 27 and pivotal to the success and delivery of the Centre’s programmes is the strong and consistent contribution from our committed and active volunteers.
We are looking for a motivated and efficient person with willingness to develop her skills to join our Youth Service team to help grow the Youth Mentoring programme. The post holder will provide key monitoring and administrative duties, provide 1-to-1 support to mentors, and help with the overall running of the programme as stated by the Mentor & Parent Liaison Manager. The Youth Mentoring programme includes up to 120 mentoring relationships annually.

We are a small but mighty nonprofit organisation which delivers impactful change and support to migrant women’s lives in Thanet.
This role will be focused on finance, governance and operations and will be a job share with the CEO for practice, development, and partnerships, who is already in post and has been overseeing this function. You will also be responsible for the line management of the Operations Manager and volunteers.
It is a crucial time for Beyond the Page and we have big ambitions for this year, including charity registration, maximising our income generation, developing, and implementing our strategy and continuing to provide high quality and impactful ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages), wellbeing and creative activities in the community to women born outside of the UK.
We are looking for a leader to help us take our next steps.
You will need to have an excellent attention to detail, previous management experience and budget oversight, knowledge of current legislation and be able to share a leadership role effectively. You will also be responsible for taking us through the charity registration process and all associated duties thereafter. We identify as an organisation that champions women’s and migrants’ rights and it’s important that you share these values.
The role is 22.5 hour a week which can be offered flexibly. Please note that there is a mandatory Monday afternoon meeting which finishes at 3pm. We deliver within term time, and it is therefore required that annual leave is taken outside of this time.
This role is restricted for females under the Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 and is subject to satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service check.

- Building relationships with regional stakeholders to support Parent Programme activities.
Other Programmes/Services
- Encouraging uptake or (when charged) sales of our broad and growing suite of programmes and services.
- Identifying and engaging with local and regional partners for our range of programmes.
- Feeding into programme design.
Wider Stakeholder Engagement:
- Attending appropriate conferences and educational meetings across the region.
- Developing relationships with key local authorities and individuals so they advocate our services and the benefits of our programmes
- Developing relationships with MATs so that they can advocate Parentkind and the benefits of its programmes.

- Create and implement operational annual plans and schedules to support our regional targets, ensuring that time specific milestones for their delivery are met.
- Regularly report on the health of our campaigns within your region, through identified KPIs and organisational targets.
- Ensure all knowledge and information is recorded, processed and maintained according to good administration practice.

- To keep abreast of relevant educational policy and legislation affecting our key audiences.

What is Screen Share?
Screen Share is a grassroots refugee charity which provides laptops, phones, tablets, data, digital skills to refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. We use the power of volunteering to turn discarded tech into good quality techical tools for refugees to improve their situation on their own terms. We are now launching a laptop refurbishment training programme for refugees in London and are looking for someone to run it and provide ad-hoc technical support to our team of volunteer laptop refurbishers!
Role overview
Screen Share is looking for a proactive, self-starter and leader to launch a laptop refurbishment training programme for refugees in London, support tech volunteers to remotely refurbish laptops, respond to faults and perceived faults with devices we have provided to service users, and support with sourcing and refurbishing devices.
The postholder will have experience of at least Level 2 laptop repair and an interest in upskilling others in basic laptop refurbishment
Outcome 1
Co-design and co-deliver a laptop refurbishment training programme for 40 refugees and asylum seekers in London

Co-design a laptop refurbishment training programme for 40 refugees

Support with the logistics necessary for running a multi-cohort programme

Create resources for learners and guide them through refurbishment workshops
Outcome 2
Respond to reported laptop faults by providing remote support or requesting a return

Run remote diagnostics with service users whose laptops have developed faults or supposed faults.

Provide technical support in laptop refurbishment and data destruction for staff, volunteers and prospective laptop donors

Be the contact point for tech volunteers and tech trainees who need support with the laptop refurbishment process.

Advise prospective tech donors on their data destruction options and best practice.

Support the Digital Access Project Manager with the technical elements of her role, ensuring the tech volunteers are following the most efficient standardised refurbishment process.

Think critically and collaboratively about our existing technical refurbishment process (including software, hardware, peopleware, charityware, and tech disposal), suggest alternatives to the methods currently used, support their implementation where appropriate and record that process of development.
