Our 68-year-old charity is one of the most exciting and flexible employers in the charity sector. This year we relaunch a national publication for parents new to school, called ‘Be School Ready’, and our new ‘PTA Launchpad’ programme.
At Parentkind we have developed a culture of high expectations for supporting PTAs and Parents alongside an equally high expectation that colleagues take care of their mental health and well-being.We are obviously a parent-friendly and flexible employer, where colleagues work from home by choice, and are given agency to perform their duties in balance with life.Colleagues work around important life-commitments such as taking their children to school, attending a medical appointment, or just taking a walk.Colleagues are trusted to do great things, both at home and whilst working.

About World Child Cancer
Most childhood cancers are curable. We know this because survival rates in the UK and Europe regularly top 80%. But for children in low and middle-income countries, the prognosis is bleak with their chance of survival falling to 20%.
The solution? It already exists. The challenge is making sure that every child gets the diagnosis, treatment and care they need. Yet in many countries, public and professional awareness of childhood cancer is dangerously low. Opportunities for early diagnosis are missed. Referrals are delayed. And there are not enough health workers with the specialist skills to diagnose and treat the disease.
It is children and families that pay the price.
Determined to balance this inequality, World Child Cancer works with local, regional, and international partners in some of the world’s poorest countries to improve: Treatment, early diagnosis, family support and advocacy.
Created in 2007, World Child Cancer is a small yet fast-growing, ambitious international charity.

Reports to Head of Membership
Remuneration£20,462 (FTE equivalent £28,000)
Background
Our 68-year-old charity is one of the most exciting and flexible employers in the charity sector. Having supported 13,000 Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) and their 100,000 heroic volunteer fundraisers to raise more than £1 Billion during the past decade, last year we began to lay the foundations for significant growth in impact during the decade ahead, not just to extend the impact of PTAs, but to provide more broader support for parents in enabling their children to live happy, healthy, and productive lives.
During the summer, we launched a membership magazine (PTA Extra), and a popular programme of parent webinar covering such topics as: ‘Supporting your child’s mental health’, ‘Helping your child succeed in KS2 English’, ‘Neurodiversity in Children Matters’.In the autumn began building a fundraising team to support PTAs by fundraising at the national level. In December we launched the highly successful ‘National Parent Survey’ to explore the challenges and concerns parents face.

CPRE Oxfordshire is looking for a Director to develop campaigns and co-ordinate our volunteer network to protect the countryside of Oxfordshire. Work with us towards a beautiful and thriving countryside that’s accessible to everyone.
CPRE (the Countryside Charity) was set up 100 years ago with the aims of the ‘conservation of what is beautiful and interesting in our countryside and towns and villages; and the encouragement of the right type of development’. Today these words are just as relevant as when they were written in the 1920s and we campaign for good planning, protection from speculative development and the enhancement of nature and accessibility of our green spaces.
CPRE Oxfordshire is an independent charity, federated with 40+ county charities and a national office, giving us local, regional and national reach. The Director will work with our Trustees and network of volunteers to formulate local strategy, run local campaigns and liaise with the National Charity. The Director is assisted by a small staff team.
We are looking for an exceptional individual who can work with and motivate volunteers, take a strategic view on issues affecting the Oxfordshire countryside and represent CPRE at County and National forums. The role also involves management of the small staff team, the oversight of our finances and fundraising.
We’re committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace at CPRE, not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because diverse workplaces can make better and more creative decisions. Whatever your background, we welcome your application. However people from ethnic minority backgrounds and disabled people are underrepresented in the environment sector. So, if you identify as either, we’d love to hear from you.
