What the job involves
Volunteer engagement is our exciting new approach to volunteer management. Join our newly formed team and you will lead staff and volunteers to enable, in partnership with others across the charity, our 2,000 volunteers to engage at a level that is right for them, deliver great customer service and apply best practice for volunteer support and management to help us achieve our ambitious strategy.
Working in a dynamic, fast-moving and fun environment, no two days will be the same. You could be presenting progress against our volunteer engagement transformation project plan to the Leadership team, reviewing parts of our website to help build our volunteer brand in-line with the organisation's brand and working principles, project managing the launch of a new digital communications platform for volunteers to attract a wide diversity of applicants and build talent pipelines, support the launch of new volunteer hubs in the UK or briefing in potential volunteer development opportunities that you have scoped to the project team.
What we want from you
Degree qualified, and a successful team leader, you will have great project management skills, experience of developing volunteering products and increasing volunteer engagement at all levels across a wide geographical territory. You will be a confident user of web and digital applications and skilled in developing communications content for a range of audiences. You will be a multi-tasker who is comfortable managing a busy and varied workload, possess excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to quickly establish credibility at all levels of the organisation. You may also have community fundraising experience and knowledge of Investor in Volunteers accreditation.
