In partnership with PAVS and Pembrokeshire County Council, Volunteering Matters is looking for an experienced and dynamic Engagement Manager (Volunteer Co-Ordinator) to join our delivery team in West Wales.
The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training and supporting volunteers across Pembrokeshire. Working with our partners, the post-holder will recruit volunteers to support the new Community Hub, develop and support the volunteer team and its activity and work closely with the Community Hub Manager, Community Connectors and other community groups.
Volunteers recruited will be “Hub Champions”. They will support and add value over the phone, online and at community events. They will disseminate information and will also provide a Hub presence in local communities, promoting the support available and linking with the network of informal community groups initially established in response to COVID.
The new Hub will prevent escalation of individual difficulties through proactively promoting community solutions and services. It will work alongside community members to find the support they need to stay well, active, connected, independent and resilient.
The post-holder will be accountable to the local Project Manager who reports directly to the Delivery Leader for Wales and the South West of England.
Interviews will take place on Wednesday 24th November at Haverfordwest Football Club.
This role requires an enhanced DBS check. Having a conviction will not necessarily cause a bar to employment.
