Volunteering Matters South East Wales

Volunteering Matters is looking for an experienced and dynamic Volunteer Manager to join our Delivery team in Wales.  The role will involve recruiting and supporting volunteers and engaging participants to take part in the projects delivered across South East Wales. During the Covid-19 pandemic, most activities are being delivered remotely.

Purpose of the role

The main focus of work will be on the Welcome Friends project, working primarily throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil.  As part of wider programme of regional work that supports social inclusion, the project will recruit, train and support volunteers to deliver befriending activities in the home and community to older people who are lonely and/or isolated.

Work on other projects could also include our young people’s volunteering, social action projects, intergenerational schools volunteering and Full Time Volunteering.

The post holder will be accountable to the Senior Project Coordinator, who reports directly to the Delivery Leader for Wales and South West.
