Walking With the Wounded (WWTW) requires a creative, positive-minded and professional individual to lead an experienced team of fundraising and communications specialists and to take the charity into its next decade.
With its 10th anniversary approaching, engagement has never been more important for the charity in order to meet its fundraising ambitions and reinforce WWTW’s position as a pioneer in providing mental health support, employment and complex case management for those who have served and their families. Many of those they support are the men and women on the front line and their families, who have given so much on our behalf and in many cases have the least to fall back on post military service.
The successful candidate will sit alongside the Senior Management Team and drive the delivery of WWTW’s fundraising and communication strategy to build on successful fundraising foundations since the charity was founded nine years ago. A key strategic focus for the role will be building a sustainable income stream and developing and leading high-level relationships with a range of institutions and partners.
WWTW are looking for someone with a broad grounding in voluntary, statutory, trust and foundations income streams, as well as a strategic understanding of the value of marketing and communications, including their impact on income generation. You will have experience of running high-level events and campaigns and of providing leadership and guidance to a multi-functional team. You will also have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
WWTW are seeking an experienced leader who can ‘muck in’ with their small friendly team and in an office environment or remotely, as travel throughout the UK is a key part of the role.
