The Mental Health Project Officer will lead a 3-year schools based Mental Health project across Hertfordshire. The project delivers a 10-week Mental Health education programme to year 6 students, and young people in transition.
Your key responsibilities, but not limited to:
Project management and strategic leadership
Providing high education in an engaging and informative way
Managing project stakeholder, partner organisation and funding partners
Development programme resources, building innovative content in relation to the link between mental health and physical activity
Managing a team of delivery staff
Monitoring, evaluating and continuous improvement of service standards
Managing a project budget and relevant resources
High quality report writing and evaluation skills
You will have:
A degree or relevant qualification (in a related subject area such as health, health psychology, sports psychology, or related field)
A sound knowledge of the common mental health issues affecting young people and their link with physical activity
At least one years’ experience of working with children or young people with functional mental health problems.
At least one years’ experience delivering educational programmes to young people.
At least one year’s experience of managing or supervising team of staff or volunteers
An ability to engage, motivate, inspire and mentor people towards achieving their goals.
Experience and success in building relationships and working collaboratively with a range of partners.
Experience managing a project budget
