We Are With You in Redcar and Cleveland is a free and confidential service for people affected by drugs and alcohol. We provide free and confidential support to people experiencing issues with drugs and alcohol. We are a unique service as we are part of the first ever integrated domestic abuse, drug and alcohol support service. We are extremely proud to have won this contract which began on 1/4/2022. The service embraces stakeholders and our partnerships; including health, mental health, criminal justice, social care, education and training and our recovery and peer support partners.
We Are With You have recently secured ongoing funding and as a result we have an excellent opportunity to join our team on a permanent basis in Redcar and Cleveland as a Recovery Worker focussing on the criminal justice area. This role requires applicants to be flexible and adaptable to change in a fast paced environment, you will be able to manage a complex caseload and build rapport with both service users and internal and external stakeholders, representing We Are With You to promote specialist treatment and support. The skill to motivate and engage people is vital as well as the ability to competently assess and manage risk. The role will be working within all aspects of the criminal justice remit , which includes managing a complex caseload, working in a custody setting and regular communication with partner agencies including courts, Police, Probation and prison colleagues. Ideally you will have experience of working in a health social care/ substance misuse setting with Safeguarding and risk management experience.

This is a permanent full time role, 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.
