DOWN to EARTH is an award winning film that premiered at the Climate Convention in Paris before negotiators came to table. The film became the longest running documentary in Dutch film history. This year the film is in Change fest, International Sustainability Film Festival and received laurels for Filmmaking for Social Change. As the world was in lockdown this year the message of the film became more relevant than ever. We decided to launch independently online in a “Pay as you like model” to make sure as many people as possible can watch the film.

DOWN to EARTH is a call to action. The film reminds us that we are all Earth Keepers. That we carry a responsibility to leave the world a better place for generations to come. Having lived under the radar for centuries, the Earth Keepers see that now is the time to step forward and share their insights with those who are ready to listen.

Watching the film helps protect nature, view by view, through EarthToday and their accredited nature protection partners.

To take this movement to the next level it needs to travel beyond “us”. We would like to do this together and we need help.


  • We are looking for individuals who would like to write about Down to Earth and the importance of the message in the world we live in today or curate existing content to highlight. (Inspire first with the message and then talk about ‘everyday action’ people can take to put the message of Down to Earth into practice.)

  • Volunteer 4 hours per week
