Purpose of the post
Are you passionate about making a difference for women and children facing up to domestic abuse and ready to help us build a society where violence against women and girls is no longer tolerated? The successful post holder will have at least 2 years' experience running multi-social media channels for an organisation. We’re looking for a creative, agile and impactful professional to develop, maintain and monitor our social media communications. This will involve creating content for our various social media channels, monitoring engagement, community management and initiating platforms and campaigns. The post will also support our wider communications and media activity. You’ll be joining us at an exciting time, as we mark our 50th Birthday with some powerful campaigns and engagement.

You will work with clients online and by phone, as well as in person to monitor their progress towards their goals. Complementary support will be delivered through our volunteers who are trained in delivering employment advice, and you will book weekly appointments for clients, allocating time slots according to availability and the volunteer’s specialty.

What would we like…?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Events Co-ordinator (internally known as Events, Faculty and Planning Associate). You will support all activity related to the scheduling of events, allocation of facilitators to events, and the planning and delivery of both face-to-face and online events. Projects Assistant role description
The role involves identifying relevant project and research opportunities; assisting with developing winning bids and delivering successful projects. Examples of recent projects include developing a water scarcity index for BSi and creating an evaluation framework for water saving campaigns. You will report to a Projects Manager and be joining a small but growing sub-team winning and delivering water efficiency research projects. For example, part of your role will be to support the delivery of an existing Ofwat Innovation Funded Water Literacy project which is developing a new training and accreditation offering on water.
Key responsibilities in the role include:

About the Role:
The Triage and Early Intervention Officer (TEIO) will be responsible for making initial contact with children and young people who may require support after experiencing domestic abuse.
You will be responsible for completing risk and impact assessments for children and young people who have experienced abuse in their own relationships, abuse in the family home, as well as those who have experienced domestic abuse and started to become abusive themselves.
You will speak on the telephone to children and young people (or their parent/carers), who have experienced domestic abuse in the home and complete a risk assessment, course suitability form and client agreement form. During the call you will provide practical and emotional support in a way that is flexible and caring, listening carefully to what is being said and showing empathy at all times.

About the team
A key element of our fundraising is a network of community charity shops across Great Britain, from small boutiques to large furniture shops. About the role
As an Apprentice in our Upcycling Workshop, you’ll play an important part in helping us to delivering our strategy that’s designed to grow our sales of second-hand goods, increase our community impact and raise income to tackle the housing emergency.
You will be instrumental in supporting the Workshop Manager and local area shops to maximise the workshop’s financial and community contribution to support our work, via the effective management of volunteers, stock and premises. A great opportunity to deliver efficient and safe workshop guidance and instruction, along the way, you’ll be able to learn and develop new skills whilst increasing the community impact the shop has on upskilling local people.
About you
To succeed, you’ll need some experience of general DIY, creating bespoke and shabby chic items and upcycling, plus knowledge of safe working practices. An understanding of charity retail and the second-hand goods market would be useful too. Well-organised and great at communicating what’s required to run a workshop efficiently, you’re as comfortable delegating work when required as you are managing and motivating others.
- If you don’t have a Level 2 English or Maths qualification, you will need to work towards achieving a Level 1 English and Maths qualifications during your apprenticeship and before taking the final assessment.
- If you have a Level 1 English and Maths qualification, you will need to work towards achieving a Level 2 English or Maths qualification.
