The Role

The Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion.

As an Events Coordinator you will be responsible for being the initial point of contact with external clients and responsible for all the organisation and management for third party event and functions at the National Memorial Arboretum.
If successful, the main duties of your role will be:
· To support the Events department in organising and delivering a range of internal, corporate, remembrance and VIP events. This includes Memorial Dedications and services, Arboretum managed events and thirds party events delivered at the Arboretum
· To support internal and external stakeholders to ensure correct events procedures are followed at all times
· To coordinate the booking and scheduling of events in the Arboretum’s diary and working closely with internal departments and the Events Manager to communicate event plans and ensure minimum impact on the operation of the Arboretum
· To work with the events team to produce event plans, event briefing notes, and regularly sending scheduling updates to other departments
· To manage and carry out detailed evaluations on events and functions with recommendations using data for future planning
· To organise internal and external meetings when required, writing agendas, and taking minutes; plus circulating feedback forms
Please note that this role will be based onsite at the National Memorial Arboretum - Burton-on-Trent DE13 7AR. The post will be working a 35 hour week, on a 5 days out of 7 basis.

The Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion. Home to over 350 memorials, including the nationally-important Armed Forces Memorial, it remembers the service and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve our country. The 150-acre site features around 30,000 maturing trees and an abundance of wildlife. Each year the Arboretum welcomes around 300,000 visitors, many of whom attend one of the 200+ events which take place across the site.
In March 2017, the National Memorial Arboretum formally opened its new award-winning Remembrance Centre.

UKCF are the membership organisation for 47 UK community foundations; the only national network of charitable funders with a physical presence in every part of the UK and the UK’s 4th largest funder.
We are currently using a shared legacy system built with Salesforce Classic though will be implementing and supporting 38 individual Salesforce instances from June 2024 for each Community Foundation. Each individual instance will be based on a network agreed Salesforce design, with the ability for foundations to bespoke their system to fit their individual needs if required.
This role of Systems Administrator reports into the Network Digital Transformation Lead and will initially cover our existing legacy system and be an integral part of the implementation, data migration and ongoing development and support of the new system and structure.

Pershore Plus Volunteer Centre are working in partnership with Wychavon District Council to recruit a Communications and Community Builder to work in and around Pershore and the surrounding villages.
The contract is for an initial 18-month term.
The initial focus of the Community Builder role is to research and establish a deep understanding of the area, collaborating with local residents and existing organisations to uncover the key community assets and skills of local residents.
The role involves ‘Supporting and encouraging residents to be active in their local community and helping them to take the lead on topics that are important to them.’
Confident at all levels and ‘have an interest in community led projects and services.

You will have the skills to create graphics, infographics, videos, and posters and also be competent at event organisation.
The successful applicant will be motivated, flexible in working hours, and a real people-person. Access to a vehicle to get around the area is desirable for which expenses will be paid.
The role is based within the team at Pershore Plus Volunteer Centre and is an exciting new role, with potential to make a significant long-lasting impact in the Pershore and south - Wychavon neighbourhoods and communities
