Job description

We are recruiting for a skilled domestic violence advocate (IDVA) to provide high quality advocacy and support to survivors of domestic violence. You will work in partnership with other agencies to develop and deliver risk management plans to ensure victims’ safety. You will be responsible for advocating on behalf of survivors of domestic violence in a range of settings, and managing and reviewing your cases.

The successful candidate will have significant proven experience of providing emotional and practical support to survivors of domestic violence. You will understand the legal system in how it relates to survivors of domestic violence, and have strong communication skills to deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders effectively. An ability to work independently and prioritise a busy workload is essential.
