Job description

We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong track record of developing and managing people and projects, who is committed to bringing about positive change to the lives of people seeking sanctuary in the North East.  Reporting to the Director and leading a team of senior staff, you will manage, develop, direct and control the project operations of WERS in order to meet strategic objectives.

We are looking for someone who is a strong team player, a confident and skilled communicator, who brings solid experience in project delivery and management to ensure that WERS’ projects are run effectively, efficiently and have maximum impact.

We work with people who experience a broad range of challenges and hardship; we are looking for someone who is committed to upholding the rights of people seeking sanctuary, and to supporting and facilitating opportunities for people to rebuild their lives here. 

We particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates and individuals with lived experience of seeking asylum.
