Job Description

If you love involving local communities in feel-good fundraising and enjoy seeing your endeavours translate into improvements in patient care, then this is the job for you!

West Hertfordshire Hospitals Charity has recently rebranded as Raise, and we feel that this uplifting, positive and active name now reflects the love and loyalty that local communities have for their local hospitals.  We have been evolving and have launched a series of strategic appeals for state-of-the-art technology, environmental enhancements, staff development and the extra comforts that make such a difference to our patients, day after day.

This is an exciting time for a new Director.  Much development work has been achieved over the past year in strengthening the charity’s infrastructure, policies and procedures, and with the rebrand we have been raising our profile among local communities and across our hospitals.

We want to take that new momentum and go on to bigger and better things and we are particularly looking for someone who can manage a capital appeal to support our three hospitals prepare for the future.

The new postholder will need to provide strong leadership, taking ownership of governance issues and working closely with the Trust’s Charity Committee.  There is also great scope for a new charity steering group to involve staff and the community in the charity’s future direction. There is a lot of liaison involved in this post at a senior Trust level and at a local level so we’re looking for someone who is persuasive and has a positive personality.

So if you’ve got vision, drive, creativity and a real commitment to supporting patient care, then we’d love to hear from you – come and make this job your own!

Interviews will be held on the 9th August 2019.
