The Evidence and Impact Hub database management system
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning team (MEL) team is responsible for supporting programmes teams design impactful programmes, evidence this impact and learn from their experiences, as well as advise on strategic decisions for the organisation. To learn more about the MEL team visit our website - MEL Matters.
In 2019, WFD embarked on a new way of doing MEL, introducing a range of new tools. In the same year we introduced a database management system built on Knack by our own team, called the Evidence and Impact Hub (EiH). With our programme teams in 32 countries as primary data entrants, EiH tracks the delivery and results of our programmes and fulfils different reporting and insight functions. This basically custom-built web app has gone through a range of iterations in line with user feedback, a process which continues to this date as more business processes are moved onto the tool and we discover new needs for structuring our data to generate insight. Our new Data and Insight Officer will play a key part in translating our innovative approaches into embedded use of data and insight in all programme decision-making processes.
