Westminster, Greater London
£36,000 - £42,000 per year
Permanent, Full-time
Job description

5 billion people do not have access to safe, affordable surgical and anaesthesia care when needed. Can you help a growing organisation address a neglected area of global health care?

Surgery and anaesthesia have a fundamental impact on global health outcomes. Surgical intervention could address over 30% of the global burden of disease, and yet the poorest 33% of people receive just 3.5% of all surgery.

We seek to change this. However with the spread of coronavirus around the world, many of our sought after on-site programmes and courses in anaesthesia care have been suspended. While this has delayed our ability to provide face to face education and training where it is most needed, it also presents us with an exciting opportunity to explore alternative ways to deliver. This role will contribute to the WFSA’s vision and mission and build the overall capacity of the programmes team to increase our ability to provide digital education and training for anaesthesia providers around the world.

IF YOU HAVE A PASSION FOR DIGITAL EDUCATION THEN WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. PLEASE ALSO DEMONSTRATE HOW YOU MEET THE PERSON SPECIFICATION INCLUDING:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
  • Experience of developing digital learning and of delivering learning resources to a range of stakeholders
  • Experience in the operational and strategic delivery of digital education
  • Knowledge of pedagogical approaches and methods for designing and delivering online learning to adult learners (e.g. instructional design)
  • Proven experience of managing high volume workload and delivering to a consistently excellent standard under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to lead and contribute to meetings with a wide range of stakeholders providing support and assistance as and when required
  • Good project management skills
  • Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues to review and improve the quality of online learning content

(See the job description for more details)

If this sounds like you then we would be delighted to receive your application. Please include a CV and a covering letter with your application by the deadline of the 14th November. Applications that do not include a covering letter will not be considered.

Interviews will take place in London (or online). We will be interviewing as and when suitable candidates apply.
