Whizz-Kidz is a national charity working hard to transform the lives of young disabled people across the UK, supporting them to become confident and independent young adults.
With thanks to a number of funders, including the National Lottery Community Fund, we have new employability opportunities for young people ahead of us, and we’re looking for an Employability Support Coordinator to facilitate young people into Work placements and training through our Employability hubs.
Based in the South (Bristol / M4 Corridor), you will cover the South of England and South Wales with sourcing young people and companies to support our employment programme. You will have experience of working with young people, building partnerships with a range of employers, and managing projects.
As well as focusing on employability, this role will support young wheelchair users to become more confident, engage in using public transport, and build independence and self esteem. Personalised employability skills training and work placements will provide young people with vital skills and experience to help them as they transition into adulthood.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Services Delivery Managers within the South of England and Wales regions with the coordination of Work Placements and Employability Skills Days. You will have experience of writing risk assessments for youth based activities and working with young people to identify an action plan to support future employment progress.
