This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Whizz-Kidz Fundraising team, as maternity cover for the current Group Head of Partnership Fundraising, who will begin maternity leave in early November. As such, it is anticipated that you will join us in late October (to complete a handover) for an anticipated 12-month period. The role leads the Partnership Fundraising Division, which encompasses both our Corporate Partnerships and Trusts, Statutory and Lottery Fundraising teams and carries income responsibility in excess of £3M – more than 60% of our fundraised income.
This is an instrumental and busy role within the Fundraising Department, leading a high-performing team who have delivered significant growth in recent years and have clear plans for the future. However, the coronavirus pandemic means we are operating in the most challenging environment of a lifetime, and our plans need to be responsive to constant change and challenge. As such, the successful candidate needs to not only be a skilled and experienced relationship fundraiser, but also an exceptional and experienced team leader, who can support and lead a well-established team of talented, ambitious fundraisers, helping them to navigate this period and achieve success.
The right candidate will understand the demands of a maternity cover role, will demonstrate their ability to quickly network across the organisation to build positive, productive relationships and maintain excellent channels of communication to ensure successful implementation of the team’s strategy and operational plans.
The successful applicant will join the Fundraising Leadership Team, working alongside the Group Head of Public Fundraising and reporting to myself (Director of Fundraising), having direct line management responsibility for four Partnerships team managers. Whizz-Kidz has recently adopted a fully flexible working pattern, and whilst this role needs to have a visible presence and quickly build relationships - not only with the Partnerships team but across the organisation - I will consider both part-time (4 days) working, as well as working from home on an occasional basis.
